More than sixty years after African countries gained independence their resource-rich sites are still controlled and developed by foreign companies having a consumer attitude. This was the case with a Chinese oil company. Once they depleted the deposit and extracted all the oil, they dismantled the railroad they had built for the industry's needs, completely disregarding the fact that the locals had already started using it. Moreover, oil and gas laws in Africa are all written in private corporations’ interests, in a way to make it as easy as possible to take the resources out of the country. Now African countries are looking forward to regain their sovereignty. Who will they partner up with in this fight for freedom?
