The paratroopers are renowned for their desperate courage, stamina and fighting capacity. But can a woman cope with such heavy and risky work? Can fragile girls compete with the strongest and bravest of men? Before we open the gates of this unique Military Institute - Ryazan Higher Airborne Command School named after General of the Army Vasily Margelov. It is the world’s only higher educational institution that trains airborne officers. The series begins with the general lining up of the school. On the spacious parade ground "boxes" of students are lining up in neat rows. There are male faces, strict deportment. Commands are heard. In the gallery of harsh portraits we suddenly see more gentle faces – maiden ones. The focus is on Ekaterina Shchedrina. From her story we begin to understand where we have found ourselves. For Katya it is the fulfillment of a cherished childhood dream. And then another heroine of ours - a fragile Sasha Morina. She is almost a child. She continues Katya’s story, weaving her personal story into it. What pushed this fragile girl to such a serious test? A whirlpool of events draws us into the cadet days. There are exercises, breakfast, classes at school. Today the girls have fire preparation. With weapons in their hands, they look like Valkyries. Why do these girls, in a sense, children, need the weapon? Perhaps the answer to this question will help us to understand the motivations of our heroines better. And the way they handle it so dexterously (assembly-disassembly) proves their commitment and dedication. The feeling of this commitment is enhanced in classes at the gym, especially when they are developing techniques of unarmed combat. The airborne motto reads: "impossible tasks don’t exist". To what extent have our heroines have acquired that spirit? Are they prepared for an emergency situation? Where do they draw the line of the possible?

The female battalion. Episode 3 25:4510 This episode begins with a close combat class - one of the compulsory subjects of all paratroopers. For most of our heroines - it is a difficult and fun class. They're little girls and they find it difficult to tune into the fight. Some girls are better fighters than others: there is earnest Katya, who had engaged in Taekwondo even before the institute and there is a fragile and cocky boxer Zhenya. They find their friends’ casual attitude insulting. On the other hand, first and foremost, the commanders do not see fighters but military managers in them. With our heroines we visit the lesson called managing forces during the time of peace, and we see what a tough test awaits them in the near future.

The female battalion. Episode 4 26:066 It’s morning at the institute: we see the wake-up, morning exercise, breakfast. Girls and boys are together in the dining room and in the classroom. How are they getting along? What are they talking about over breakfast in a casual environment? Our heroines are the future officers of the airborne combat service units. We find ourselves at the lesson on "Airborne training" and learn what kind of work awaits them, how to prepare a tank for insertion and see if the girls are fit to do work that is usually done by the most powerful men?

The female battalion. Episode 5 26:125 The filming crew’s head’s car got stuck on the tank training ground, but the girls have come to the rescue. In this episode we are in for a rare sight: girls on tanks. Our heroines show first-rate driving skills for combat vehicles. Prior to this lesson, they had only driven around and overcome obstacles, this time they will have to put forward as a single column, line up in battle order and fight the simulated enemy. At the same time we find out why a lively Zhenya is called Schumacher and why Katya would never voluntarily be in the same tank with Zhenya... We announce the upcoming 100 km battle march on an airborne fighting vehicle.

The female battalion. Episode 6 25:517 Winter has arrived, and our heroines are engaged in orienteering in a field. Military topography lesson in the field and at the location. The heroines are so used to the cameras that they don't notice them and talk about intimate things. In the evening they will jointly review the first episode of the show. There are live reactions. They are ready to continue, but now all they can think about is the forthcoming defense course. Katya Yavina learns that she will get an F if she doesn't see her research advisor, but to do that she needs to leave the training center without permission.

The female battalion. Episode 7 26:113 Two Katyas and Olya have turned to the film crew for help: they asked for a life to Ryazan. This is how we become accomplices and witnesses of the cadets going AWOL. Their goal is to get from the training center to the school, meet their research advisors and avoid being seen by the direct commanders. But there is one more goal: to see their boyfriends, for which this meeting is supposed to be a surprise. We see the touching scene - Olya meeting with her boyfriend and Katya's surprise turns out to be a sad one... The episode ends on the girls being greeted after their dangerous mission and have a picnic on the occasion.

The female battalion. Episode 8 26:134 Ten girls are sent to practice parachute jumps. For various reasons they have not fulfilled the annual norms and should catch up. Father Igor tells us that he would usually come to bless the cadets before their first parachute jump. We learn what it is like, what the first jump is memorable for and what they feel during air-land exercise.

The female battalion. Episode 9 26:184 Our heroines are not ready for the hand-to-hand combat and have asked their teacher to help them prepare and revise the basic moves. Fragile and slender Sonya, who is much better at dancing than melee, struggles to learn the moves, to the delight of her friends. At the exam, Nastya Klimakova manages to do the push-ups despite a leg injury. As all the girls have passed the physical education exam, the examiner makes an inspiring speech about Sasha Morina, who combines airborne school with being a young mum and tells the girls that they can all take Sasha for a role model.
